Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking an experienced School Caretaker to join a school in the OX15 area on a temporary basis for around 6 weeks. Start ASAP, hours 7:00am to 3:30pm, pay 17 - 22 per hour DOE.

The role involves keeping the site safe, secure and well maintained, including opening each morning, room setups, managing deliveries, grounds maintenance, and responding to issues. Ideal candidates have caretaker or maintenance experience, DIY skills, health and safety awareness, ability to

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker, site assistant or maintenance experience.
• Good practical and DIY skills.
• Reliable and proactive approach.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to issues.
• Experience in a school or similar environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Open the school each morning and carry out site checks.
• General maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure the school site is safe and secure.
• Set up rooms for lessons, meetings and events.
• Manage deliveries and contractors.
• Maintain outdoor areas and grounds.
• Respond to maintenance, health and safety and site issues.
• Report faults or repairs needing attention.
