Job summary

Birchfield Primary School within The Prince Albert Community Trust is seeking an Assistant Building Site Supervisor (Caretaker) to help maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role is graded 2, scale point 3–8, with a salary of £24,796–£26,824 (Actual) and 36.5 hours per week across all year round. You will assist with routine maintenance, health and safety procedures, and liaise with contractors as required.

Qualifications

Experience of using power tools.
Knowledge of maintenance and cleaning techniques.
Able to follow instructions from SLT, Directors and Building Services Site Manager.
Flexible to working shift patterns when required.
Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a high level of service and professionalism.
Be committed to ensuring the safety and security of staff, pupils, and visitors.
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs.
Oversee site cleanliness and ensure facilities are well-presented.
Support with health and safety compliance and emergency procedures.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers when needed.
Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the school community.
