Job summary

The Sigma Trust is hiring for a Site Manager at St Helena School. The role involves leading the site team to ensure the premises are well-maintained, secure, and compliant with safety standards.

The post is a permanent full-time position, with 37 hours per week across 52 weeks and duties including hands-on maintenance and security oversight. We seek an experienced facilities professional who can manage time effectively, work proactively, and uphold safeguarding and well-being within a welcoming

Qualifications

• Experience of caretaking and/or buildings maintenance and security.
• Experience of Health & Safety procedures and codes of practice.
• Experience of leading a team.
• The ability to manage your own time effectively and demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach.
• The ability to carry out first line repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Premises & Facilities: Oversee the day-to-day care, maintenance, housekeeping, and security of the school site.
• Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and relevant codes of practice.
• Hands-on Maintenance: Carry out first-line repairs, general porterage, cleaning duties, and lettings supervision.
• Site Security: Act as a primary keyholder for out-of-hours emergencies and alarm call-outs.
• Team Leadership: Manage and deploy the site team effectively while demonstrating the ability to work independently without close supervision.
