Job summary

Haughton School is seeking a reliable Site Manager to take responsibility for day-to-day management, security and maintenance of the school site. The role is permanent, 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9.30am-4pm) during term time + 4 weeks, with NJC Scale 5 pay (£15.56-£16.61 per hour). Start ASAP subject to checks.

Experience in building maintenance and health and safety is required. You will work with the School Business Manager and Headteacher, oversee contractors, and ensure a safe, welcoming

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a related subject, or equivalent.
• Experience with minor building repairs and maintenance.
• Experience of managing a building and ensuring legal compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Professional approach with children, colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing security and opening/closing the school site.
• Managing day-to-day maintenance, repairs and upkeep.
• Coordinating and monitoring contractors on site.
• Supporting health and safety, fire safety and risk assessments.
• Carrying out regular site and safety inspections.
• Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and improvement work.
• Operating heating, lighting, CCTV and alarm systems.
• Supporting PAT testing, COSHH compliance and site records.
• Monitoring and maintaining the school minibus.
• Assisting staff with low-level ICT issues.
• Working with the Caretaker.
• Ensuring grounds and facilities are safe and well-presented.
