Furrowfield School in Gateshead is seeking a proactive Site Manager to look after the school environment, grounds and facilities, ensuring safety and a welcoming place to learn. You will take ownership of maintenance, security and contractor coordination, with a hands-on approach to day-to-day tasks.

The role involves organising checks, responding to issues, and working closely with the School Business Manager and staff to keep the site in excellent condition.

Qualifications

• Dependable, organised and proactive approach to work.
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload and work with staff and contractors.

Responsabilités

• Ensure site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
• Act as main point of contact for opening/closing and securing premises.
• Undertake general maintenance, minor repairs and handyman tasks.
• Monitor health and safety checks and contractor works.
• Coordinate with School Business Manager on site plans and improvements.
• Respond to premises-related issues and emergencies calmly and quickly.
• Arrange engineering/maintenance visits and keep accurate records.
