Remedy Education is recruiting an Assistant Caretaker for a welcoming school in East Acton, West London. You will work closely with the Site Manager to keep the premises safe, clean and well-presented for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance tasks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, with a good eye for detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy school environment.
• Friendly and approachable with staff, pupils and visitors.
• Health and safety conscious.
• Previous caretaking, maintenance, facilities or site experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school site.
• Carry out general repairs and basic maintenance tasks where required.
• Ensure classrooms, communal areas, playgrounds and external areas are safe and presentable.
• Support with setting up and clearing rooms for school activities and events.
• Carry out routine checks of the building, grounds and facilities.
• Report any maintenance, health and safety or security issues promptly.
• Assist with opening and securing the school site when required.
• Support deliveries, contractors and visitors accessing the premises.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Follow school health and safety, safeguarding and security procedures.
• Work as part of the wider premises and facilities team.
