Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Bury is seeking an experienced School Receptionist to join a welcoming secondary school with an ASAP start. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents and visitors, delivering a professional and efficient front‑of‑house service.

The role requires strong organisational skills and prior experience in schools, with hands‑on use of SIMS, Arbor and Bromcom. You will manage the reception, handle calls, sign visitors in, support attendance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in schools or the education sector.
• Hands-on experience using MIS: SIMS, Arbor and Bromcom.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school's main reception and act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with enquiries professionally.
• Sign visitors in and out of the school in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Support pupil attendance and absence administration where required.
• Maintain accurate school records and complete general administrative duties.
• Use school MIS to update and retrieve pupil and staff information.
• Liaise with parents, carers, staff and external agencies.
• Support safeguarding and visitor procedures.
