Job summary

Addington School in Reading is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance, operations and compliance across the school and satellite site. You will ensure a safe, welcoming environment while managing facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, sensory spaces, transport, cleaning and catering services.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding commitment and a flexible approach to occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in facilities or estates management, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
• Understanding of statutory compliance, building systems and contractor management.
• Strong line management and leadership capabilities with safeguarding mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance, operations and compliance across the school and satellite site.
• Manage specialist facilities including hydrotherapy pool and sensory spaces, transport fleet, cleaning and catering.
• Ensure a safe, compliant and welcoming environment with a proactive, pupil-focused approach.
