Job summary

Westminster Academy is seeking a reliable Premises Assistant to join our experienced Site Team. This hands-on role supports a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

You will work with the Head of Site Services to keep the site running smoothly and support events and lettings. Shifts run from 6:30am to 6pm on a rota basis, with some flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, premises or facilities experience, ideally within a school environment.
• Good practical maintenance skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and routine checks across the school site.
• Assist with opening, closing and securing the school buildings when required.
• Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms for school events and lettings.
• Report maintenance, security and health & safety concerns and maintain relevant site records.
