Job summary

Harris Academy Tottenham is seeking a Premises Officer to ensure a safe, clean and attractive learning environment. You will contribute to maintenance, security, and health and safety of the site as part of a dedicated team.

The role involves adhering to health and safety policies, supporting teaching staff with basic maintenance, liaising with external contractors, keeping grounds tidy and secure, and assisting with events and exams.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
• Basic training in plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, or heating systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance and security systems and procedures.
• Ability for some heavy lifting and physical fitness.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to health and safety policy and report hazards.
• Carry out servicing, cleaning and checks of academy premises and vehicles as needed.
• Provide technical and craft support to teaching staff.
• Maintain site security and supervise external contractors on site.
• Support in maintenance of academy grounds and facilities; assist with events and exams.
