Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd is hiring a Premises Manager to be based at Leigh Park School in Leigh, Wigan. You will oversee site operations, maintenance tasks and compliance checks to ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained educational environment.

The role involves managing contractors, supervising cleaning staff, and handling administrative tasks across the site. A strong focus on safety and customer service is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilising established handyman/maintenance skills, for both internal and external works.
• Health & Safety awareness, and safe working.
• Manage contractors while on site.
• Open and shut site each day.
• Complete administrative tasks, via paperwork and electronically.
• Manage the cleaning staff and ensure site is clean and tidy at all times.
• Completing compliance checks and managing external contractors completing compliance works, including fire, legionella (water), asbestos and gas/electrical.
• Good computer skills, can use basic email, word and excel.
• Fit and able to lift and move items relevant to the role.
• To work both inside and outside whenever needed.
• Always give a high level of customer service.
• Supervise external contractors when needed.
• Show responsibility for a high level or finish to all works undertaken.
• Read and understand risk assessments and method statements, safe systems of work.
• Ensure tools and parts used are of the required standard for use.
• Maintain and regularly clean vehicles.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours if required to complete urgent tasks.
• Any other duties relevant to the post as requested by the Head of School.
