Job summary

The Roundhill Academy in Leicester is seeking a Premises Officer on a fixed-term contract to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, security, and safety of the school premises.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Estates Team, you will ensure a high standard of maintenance, cleanliness and compliance with health and safety requirements, contributing to a safe environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working alongside a small team of premises support staff.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety issues including COSHH.
• Ability to work in a busy school environment supporting ongoing maintenance of the school site.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the school premises and grounds to a high standard.
• Oversee site security and health & safety compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and supervise contractors as required.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for pupils, staff, visitors and other users.
