Job summary

Newbridge Upper Academy invites applications for a Lifeguard / Pool Attendant to keep the school pool safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and the wider community. You will hold an NPLQ and perform lifeguarding duties, poolside supervision, water testing and routine cleaning.

The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to support community lettings and events; training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and safeguarding.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Experience working with children or in a school environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard duties and poolside supervision.
• Water quality testing and routine cleaning of the pool area.
• Support pupils in the pool and changing areas and assist with pool safety.
• Assist with community lettings and carry out basic pool plant checks.
