Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a successful school in Maidenhead to recruit a proactive School Operations Lead. The role focuses on running day-to-day operations, administering systems, and supporting safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance across the site.

You will work with senior leaders to ensure a safe, efficient and thriving school environment, coordinating facilities, events, contractors and staff support while managing competing priorities with high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in school administration, operations, facilities or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of school operations, safeguarding, health and safety and compliance.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with staff, pupils, parents, contractors and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day operational running of the school.
• Manage administrative systems, processes and records, ensuring they remain accurate and up to date.
• Support health and safety, safeguarding, compliance and risk management procedures.
• Coordinate premises, facilities, maintenance and contractors where required.
• Ensure the school site is safe, secure, welcoming and well maintained.
• Support the organisation of school events, meetings, examinations and wider activities.
• Monitor operational issues and respond promptly, using initiative to resolve problems.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and provide effective operational support.
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of school systems and processes.
