Job summary

The Lindop92 is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the school lunch program. You will supervise kitchen and dining staff, manage order collection, and ensure accurate food service records and communications with families and the food provider.

Responsibilities include data entry in Excel, monitoring meal counts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining logs for temperature and cleaning.

• Requires SafeServe Sanitation Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervises program staff: assistant, cook, lunchroom aides and custodian.
• Collects monthly lunch orders and notes discrepancies.
• Requests balances due on short payments via phone and letters.
• Enters data on Excel spreadsheet for monthly breakfast and lunch orders.
• Sends 'Sorry we missed your lunch order' letters as needed.
• Prepares and faxes meals and milk orders to the food service provider weekly.
• Maintains temperature, daily meal count and cleaning equipment logs.
• Arranges and bags box lunches for field trips.
• Assists with waiver applications/household income forms and changes in eligibility status when applicable.
• Collates and disseminates menus.
• Sends copies of lunch orders upon request.
• Changes/updates lunch cards and deadline signs within school monthly.
• Receives all calls and resolves all problems regarding the lunch program.
• Prints attendance sheets for breakfast weekly.
• Adjusts milk count when necessary due to milk use.
• Accepts daily food delivery ensuring that all food is received and resolves differences.
• Calls on past due balances as needed.
• Assists in ordering of food from alternate venue (NSLP Approved).
• Manages breakfast and lunch orders to ensure children have lunch while reducing waste.
• Manages the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
• Updates Lunch Field Trip Log as needed.
• Maintains daily count sheets and remits to Business Office on a monthly basis.
• Displays a pleasant, businesslike demeanor in all interactions with students, parents, staff and community members.
• Observes and follows all District policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
