Job summary

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse educator to lead and deliver School Nursing education within practice. You will supervise SCPHN students, assess competency, and ensure evidence-based practice within the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme.

Applicants must have SCPHN qualification, Teaching in Practice, and a Masters; strong leadership, safeguarding, and ability to manage complex workloads are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide and lead clinical education within practice to Health Visiting/ School Nursing Teams including pre and post registration students.
• Provide guidance and support to staff to address competency issues and devise plans to address them.
• Ensure students are Fit for Practice for NMC registration.
• Support SCPHN students with assessments and practice outcomes.
• Support Trainee Practice Educators and Mentors and other pre/post registration students.
• Assess/develop and implement care plans within own and students caseloads and advise families with evidence-based care.
