St Edward’s School is seeking Registered Nurses for term-time roles. You will provide essential clinical care and pastoral support, working within a dynamic health centre team. With a flexible shift pattern and a supportive environment, this role offers the chance to impact young people's lives positively.
We’re looking for Registered Nurses to join our experienced team in a term-time role at St Edward’s, Oxford. This is a chance to provide high-quality clinical care and pastoral support to young people, while benefiting from structured working weeks and regular holidays that align with the school year.
About the role
You’ll join a friendly, professional Health Centre team supporting pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing across a busy boarding and day school. The role includes day-to-day nursing care, managing treatment plans, administering medication, liaising with parents and professionals, and contributing to safeguarding and health education.
Shifts follow a rotating pattern made up of four types (long day, night, early, and late). Applicants should be confident working flexibly across the full range of shifts, which are planned in advance and shared fairly among the nursing team. The role is term-time only (up to 34 working weeks), offering a clear schedule and extended non-working periods during school holidays. We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available.
About you
You’ll be a Registered Nurse (Adult or Child) with post-registration experience and the clinical judgement to work independently within a school-based medical setting. A background in paediatrics, A&E, community or school nursing is particularly valuable. You’ll be calm, clear-thinking and supportive, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of young people.
