Job summary

Perth and Kinross Council is seeking a Play Assistant at Methven Primary School Nursery on a fixed term until 31 December 2026. The role covers 16 hours per week during term time, supporting a nurturing play and care curriculum and working closely with nursery staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with children, families and colleagues.
• Experience in a nursery environment desirable.
• Register as SSSC Support Worker and work towards the relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, planning and implementation of play/care curriculum before, during and after lunchtime.
• Assist with lifting and moving tables, chairs and trolleys to prepare lunchtime experiences.
• Support a happy, busy nursery and put children's needs first.
