Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (HIOW) is recruiting for a School Nurse to support the School Nursing Service across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region, with work across community locations in Southampton.

You will deliver The Healthy Child Programme (5-19), undertake health and development reviews, screenings, and offer health promotion guidance to children and families. Must be able to drive and travel across the city for work.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an SCPHN – School Nurse qualification.
• Experience delivering health reviews and health promotion for children and families is desirable.
• Ability to travel across Southampton and surrounding areas for community visits.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and innovative practitioner to support the School Nursing Service in Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (HIOW). You must be a Registered Nurse with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) - School Nurse qualification. You will be working with us to promote health and wellbeing for children & young people aged 5-16 years and their families in a range of settings, leading on the delivery of The Healthy Child Programme (5-19). The successful candidates will be offering health and development reviews, screening tests, health promotion guidance and tailored support for children and families. We deliver the service across community locations such as Schools, family homes and Family Hubs in Southampton. Ability to drive and travel for work across the city is essential.
