Job summary

Eton College is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join the Health Centre. You will provide nursing care to pupils and staff, conduct basic illness assessments, administer medications, and run clinics such as morning surgery, asthma, vaccination, and wound care.

You will maintain records and support health education across the campus. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN, with post-registration experience, and good IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience.
• Good IT skills and record keeping.
• Dual RN/Child Branch is desirable.
• Understanding of the NMC code of conduct.
• Experience with immunisations, diabetes, asthma and minor injuries desirable.
• Experience of working with young people in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pupils and staff on site.
• Update observations and maintain accurate records.
• Administer medicines and treatments; manage asthma and allergy care.
• Run nursing clinics (morning surgery, asthma, vaccination, wound care).
• Assist with triage, venepuncture and wound care for outpatients.
• Promote health education and immunisations.
• Attend training and contribute to safeguarding and policy adherence.
