This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic motivated School Nurse with a post graduate Specialist Community Public Health (School Nursing) qualification, to join an evolving School Nursing Team in NHSFV.
Using a community development approach, the post holder will work in partnership with children young people and families, multidisciplinary and multiagency colleagues to identify and address health needs.
The post holder will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, safe, person centred and effective School Nursing Service in the community.
The post holder will be accountable for caseload management and school nursing activity and will provide leadership to manage and support the school nursing team as delegated by the Team Leader/Community Development Nurse
Applicants must be a first level registered nurse and have a post graduate Specialist Community Public Health School Nursing qualification.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of child protection systems.
Good Communication, Organisational And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.
A basic knowledge of common IT systems is required and experience of working in a leadership role would be advantageous.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
