Job description

We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, energetic and experienced School Nurse.

Detail

The successful candidate will have a nursing qualification and will enjoy the company of children of all ages and have an understanding of the moral, social and educational issues which affect them. Key personal qualities are patience, kindness, stamina, resilience, firmness and a sense of humour.

Working with young people is challenging and demanding but can also be immensely rewarding. This is an opportunity for a strong personality to play an important role in the lives of these children.

This is a term time post plus 3.6 weeks, which equates to 37.6 weeks of the year, 40 hours per week with a 30 minute unpaid break.

The School does not use the national nursing pay scales, but the salary for this post will be similar to a senior Band 6 point, and subject to a pro rata calculation to reflect the weeks worked.

This is a term time role.
