Job summary

Epsom College is seeking a driver to support home-to-school transport services for pupils. You will operate a minibus, conduct pre-journey checks, and ensure safe transport for both junior and senior pupils during term-time.

The role requires a clean D1 driving licence, medical fitness, and strong safeguarding awareness. You will work with staff to coordinate timings and routes, reporting any vehicle issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid and clean D1 category driving licence.
• Medically fit to drive minibuses and school vehicles; maintain vehicle records.

Responsibilities

• Visually check minibus before each journey (tyres, fuel).
• Drive safely with care and attention to regulations; ensure pupil and staff safety.
• Liaise with academic staff to confirm timings and pupil numbers.
• Transport senior pupils unsupervised to pre-arranged locations.
• Transport junior pupils with staff supervision to locations.
• Report any vehicle concerns to appropriate staff.
• Undertake other reasonable duties related to transport and safeguarding.
• Comply with safeguarding procedures and child protection when working with young people.
