Job summary

Ivy Education Trust is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to transport students from Kenton and Cockwood Primary School to the afterschool club in Starcross. You will ensure safety, welfare and a positive experience for pupils during daily journeys.

The role requires a full clean driving licence with D1 entitlement, the ability to relate well to children and adults, and a calm, patient approach. You will conduct vehicle safety checks and follow safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a full clean driving licence with entitlement to drive a minibus (D1 category on the driving licence).
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
• Understands the importance of promoting and safeguarding welfare of children.
• Friendly, caring, approachable and patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school minibus on designated route to transport pupils to the afterschool club.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each journey; report defects.
• Ensure pupils embark and disembark safely, following safeguarding procedures.
• Drive safely and responsibly in line with road traffic legislation and School policies.
• Support pupils to follow behaviour expectations during transit.
