Job summary

East Sussex Skills Academy, located in Bexhill-on-Sea, is recruiting a Minibus Driver to transport students to and from school and other agreed locations. The role is permanent, 30 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks), with shifts 6:00am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The salary starts from £17,574 per year, and the successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (or eligibility).

• Willingness to undertake MiDAS training and other relevant training.

About the role:

East Sussex Skills Academy, Bexhill-on-Sea is looking for a reliable, caring and professional Minibus Driver to join our team as soon as possible. If you enjoy driving, working with young people and making a positive difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transport for our students to and from school and other approved locations. The role is vital in helping our learners access education and supporting their wellbeing through safe daily journeys.

Working Hours

• 30 hours per week
• Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)
• Monday to Friday:
  • 6:00am - 9:00am
  • 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Essential Requirements

Desirable

• Experience working in a school or youth setting
• Experience transporting children or vulnerable individuals
• First Aid or MiDAS qualification
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs

East Sussex Skills Academy, located in Bexhill, recently joined London South East Academies Trust. As an alternative provision, the school supports up to 94 pupils in Years 9-11 who are unable to access mainstream education.
