Somercotes Infant School is looking for a caring, reliable Midday Supervisor to help create a safe, happy lunchtime experience for our pupils. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and designated areas while promoting positive behaviour and inclusive play.

Experience is welcome but not essential. The role offers training, a supportive team, and a real difference in daily school life for the children.

About the Role

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring children are safe, well-supported, and engaged during the lunchtime period. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas while promoting positive behaviour and encouraging inclusive play.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors.

Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.

Encourage positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.

Support children in the dining hall and promote good table manners.

Organise and encourage safe, inclusive play activities.

Respond appropriately to minor accidents and report any concerns.

Work effectively as part of the school team to provide a positive lunchtime experience.
