Job summary

Aramark is hiring a General Assistant for the High School of Dundee, DD4 7RG, on a temporary maternity cover basis. You will support nursery lunch service for 3-5 year-olds, help with dining setup, and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards in a welcoming catering team.

The role offers 11:00am–2:00pm shifts, 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with life assurance, pension, EAP, and development opportunities. PVG checks are required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly approach.
• Flexible and willing to support the needs of the team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nursery lunches for children aged 3-5 years old.
• Setting up, laying, and clearing dining tables.
• Providing a friendly and positive service during meal times.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within dining and service areas.
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties as required.
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider catering team with daily operations.
