Job summary

Alder Community High School is seeking a proactive Librarian to manage the school library, promote reading for pleasure, and support curriculum delivery across all subjects and year groups. The role involves coordinating reading interventions, developing engaging collections, and tracking resources and interventions.

The post is permanent (term-time) with a 36-hour week and a Grade E salary scale (£25,859 to £28,042). All duties contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to promote reading and literacy
• Ability to coordinate and deliver reading interventions
• Experience in library management would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the school library
