Job summary

eTeach UK Limited seeks an experienced catering lead to ensure high-quality school meals in line with nutrition standards. You will plan nutritious menus, negotiate supplier contracts, manage stocks and budgets, and ensure safe, compliant kitchens.

You will support safeguarding, staff induction, and allergy communications, contributing to a positive dining experience for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety (or NVQ equivalent).
• GCSE or equivalent in English and maths.
• Experience in a school kitchen is preferred.
• Experience planning menus and pricing.
• Experience recording and managing stock; reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee provision of high-quality school meals aligned to guidelines.
• Plan varied and nutritious menus in advance.
• Negotiate best-value contracts with suppliers and manage budget.
• Cater to special dietary requirements and label accurately.
• Assist recruitment and induction of catering staff.
• Safeguard pupils and follow safeguarding policies.
