Job summary

Norse Catering is recruiting a Cook Manager for Catton Grove Primary School. You will lead the kitchen team, prepare, cook and serve school lunches, and help deliver a welcoming dining experience for pupils and staff.

The role is 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time (38 weeks per year). You’ll work 7:30am–1:45pm with pro rata salary and benefits including funded courses and 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen with budget awareness.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Passion for supporting others and working as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and oversee daily operations.
• Prepare, cook and serve lunches for pupils and staff.
• Maintain engaging and efficient dining experiences.
• Support menu cycles, special diets and allergen guidance with central teams.
