Chartwells State Schools in Benfleet is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a school catering operation and deliver nutritious meals with high standards for students and staff.

You will manage a catering team, control stock and costs, and ensure adherence to food safety and allergen regulations in a busy school environment. The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern and supportive learning pathways within Compass Group UK & Ireland.

Formación

• Previous experience leading a catering team in a school environment.
• Minimum two years' catering experience.
• Food Hygiene qualification.
• Strong IT and administration skills.
• Knowledge of food production, food safety and allergen management.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing, cooking and serving fresh, nutritious meals to agreed standards.
• Leading, motivating and developing your catering team.
• Managing food ordering, stock control and minimising waste.
• Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and allergen regulations.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining relationships with school stakeholders.
• Supporting school events and engagement activities.
• Managing labour, food costs and financial performance in line with budget.
