Job summary

Three Legged Cross First and Nursery School seeks an Assistant Cook to join The Heath Academy Trust's kitchen team. You will assist in preparing, cooking and serving school meals, manage daily dishwashing and stock records, and help supervise lunchtime service.

The role requires maintaining high kitchen hygiene, assisting with beverages, and supporting safeguarding policies for pupils. Visits to the school are welcome; DBS checks apply for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Assist in generating and processing all food orders, keeping records and stock books as required.
• Assist in preparation, cooking and serving of school meals.
• Assist in supervision of lunchtime service.
• Maintain kitchen and equipment to required hygiene standards.
• Wash up as appropriate.
• Prepare beverages and refreshments as requested.
• Promote and safeguard welfare of children in line with safeguarding policy.
