Job summary

Chartwells is recruiting an ambitious Chef on a part-time basis (30 hours per week) contracted to 42.6 weeks per year. You will prepare high-quality meals, help implement menu changes, and help deliver outstanding food experiences for clients and customers across education sites.

The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, have a Food Hygiene certificate, and previous supervision experience; we value flexibility and customer-focused service in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services and listen to feedback.
• Support creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories and keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety regulations.
