Job summary

Caterlink is the education sector catering specialist. Joseph Chamberlain College in Birmingham is seeking a Chef to deliver nutritionally balanced and tasty meals for pupils and staff, in line with our Fresh Food Policy.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks), preparing, cooking and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards while following Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures. DBS enhancement applies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Professional Cookery is preferred; proven experience in a thriving contract catering kitchen is essential.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
