Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef for Joseph Chamberlain College in Birmingham to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food.

The role involves preparing, cooking and presenting food to Caterlink and client standards, maintaining Food Safety and Health & Safety processes, and supporting daily site operations, including inventory, budgets, and action plans. Term Time Only (39 weeks) with 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, at £28,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Professional Cookery preferred; proven kitchen experience essential.
• Experience in a thriving contract catering kitchen is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity.
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Joseph Chamberlain College, Birmingham. who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food.

The Role

• £28,000 PA


• 37.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday


• Term Time Only working Weeks 39 Weeks

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Qualifications

A Diploma in Professional Cookery is preferred however proven experience in a thriving contract catering kitchen is essential.
