Job summary

Matthew Moss High School is seeking a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our school kitchen team. You will help provide healthy meals for pupils and work as part of a supportive team in a busy but welcoming environment.

The role is part-time, term-time only, 12.5 hours per week, with duties including washing up, basic food prep, and service. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred, but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and school policies.
• Excellent communication skills with clear spoken English.
• Ability to work in a team and on own initiative without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Wash up and clean to a high standard.
• Food preparation and service.
• Basic Food Hygiene training will be provided if not held.
• Contribute to transformational ethos and CPD focused on curriculum.
• Work with students and staff in a busy school kitchen.
• Cycle to work scheme available and support from Senior Leadership Team.
