Job summary

Educators in Bridgend is seeking a General Kitchen Assistant to support school catering across multiple sites during term time. You will help prepare, present and serve meals while ensuring a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.

The role covers covering across the county borough and may involve operating a touch screen terminal; training will be provided. Hours are from 10:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering or similar environments preferred.
• Understanding of food safety practices and good hygiene.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and adapt to different school settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean dining environment for pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs as required.
• Operate touch screen terminals in some locations; training provided.
