Job summary

Educators is seeking a General Kitchen Assistant to support school meals across multiple sites in Bridgend. The role involves helping prepare, present and serve meals and ensuring a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.

You will lay out dining areas and may operate a touch screen terminal; full training will be provided. Driving across schools and obtaining a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate if needed are part of the role. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to train to obtain one.
• DBS check required or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work across multiple schools and adapt to different settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Set out dining tables and chairs for service.
• Operate touch screen terminal where required; training provided.
• Cover at schools across the County Borough during term time.
