Responsibilities

• Assist with basic preparation of food and refreshments, including some cooking.
• Assist with setting up serving counters for lunch.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning and housekeeping of areas.
• Assist with care, cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Assist with washing up of kitchen items.
• Move dining room furniture as needed within the dining area.
• Serve pupils and staff in line with school requirements.
• Report any inappropriate behaviour per policy.
• Encourage balanced meals, including pupils on special or restricted diets.
• Be aware of children on special diets for medical reasons.
• Maintain dress standards and appearance.
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines in all tasks.
• Engage in professional development and performance management.
• Adhere to school ethos and values.
• Set an example of integrity and professionalism.
• Attend meetings as directed by SMT.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth school operation.
