Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant for our school dining teams in Truro. You will support the kitchen with basic food prep and provide friendly service during the lunchtime rush, helping meals run smoothly.

Hours are term-time, Monday to Friday, 12.5 hours weekly across 38.6 weeks per year, at £12.71 per hour. Training is provided for Health and Safety and food hygiene as needed, with emphasis on teamwork and quality service.

Qualifications

• Team player and thrive in a busy kitchen team.
• Catering or fast-paced service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices desired.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is nice but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Working on tills during service (training provided).
• Providing friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen and complying with health and safety standards.
