Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd in Swadlincote, UK is hiring an Area Catering Assistant to support school kitchens with basic food prep and friendly service during the lunch rush.

You'll work Monday to Friday during term time, 20 hours per week across 38 weeks, with training provided for tills and health and safety. A full UK driving licence helps, and DBS disclosure is enhanced as part of safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• You’re a team player and thrive as part of a busy team.
• You have previous catering or fast-paced service experience.
• You have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• The Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is great, but not essential, as we can provide the training!
• You hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
