Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a Catering Assistant for Penny Field Special School in Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4QD. You will support the kitchen team to prepare meals, serve students and staff, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

You do not need extensive kitchen experience; a Food Safety Level 2 certificate or willingness to train is required. A positive attitude, reliability, and good teamwork are essential to help us provide healthy meals to pupils throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to train to a Food Safety Level 2 certificate.
• Basic reading, writing and computer skills.
• Organised, reliable and team player.
• Good hygiene and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food and serve meals.
• Set up counters and dining hall before lunchtimes.
• Serve students and staff with friendly service.
• Wash up and keep areas clean.
• Unpack deliveries and rotate stock.
• Use basic kitchen equipment and tills.
• Clear away after lunchtimes.
