Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking Relief General Kitchen Assistants to support Newton Primary School and other schools across the county. You will help with the preparation, presentation and service of school meals within a safe, clean environment.

Hours are term-time, typically 10:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with training provided for responsibilities such as using touch screen terminals and obtaining a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisting with preparation, presentation and service of meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs; operate a touch screen terminal where required; training provided.
