Job summary

Tor View School in Devon is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the catering team. You will assist with basic food preparation, uphold hygiene standards and promote healthy eating to support the wellbeing of children and young people.

Under direction, you will contribute to the catering operation, help the Chef, and ensure compliance with the company’s policies. Prior catering experience is a plus, but not essential, and UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation assistance and hygiene tasks.
• Ability to promote healthy eating and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Experience in catering is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with food preparation and some cooking under direction.
• Clean and wash up; ensure kitchen and areas meet hygiene standards.
• Support catering operation as required to maintain smooth service.
