Job summary

Kellan Group is recruiting for General Kitchen Assistant roles in Reigate and surrounding areas. These are temporary agency assignments across school kitchens, with flexible hours and reliable, hardworking candidates in demand.

Pay rate is £12.71-£14.50 per hour, reflecting experience and shifts. DBS for Child Workforce is preferred or willingness to obtain one, with a focus on food hygiene and safe kitchen practices.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months' kitchen experience in the UK is essential.
• A clean Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assisting with serving meals to pupils and school staff.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as required.
