Job summary

Sodexo at Coten End Primary School, Warwick, is hiring a General Kitchen Assistant to support the day-to-day catering in a busy school kitchen. The role offers term-time hours, a permanent contract, and pay of £12.71 per hour.

You will prepare and serve food, keep kitchens clean, follow hygiene standards, and work as part of a friendly team. No prior catering experience is required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and reliable attitude are essential.
• Strong communication with colleagues and customers.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors.
