Job summary

Brannel School in St Austell is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support daily kitchen operations during lunch service. You will help prepare meals, serve customers and keep areas clean and organized.

The role is part-time, 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12-2pm, with guidance on food safety and teamwork. Previous experience is not required, but reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of delicious meals and snacks, following recipes and portion guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, counter, and dining areas.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service during meal service.
• Assist with food inventory management and stock rotation.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
