Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council Catering Services seek an assistant cook at Cynffig Comprehensive School to support meal prep and run daily kitchen activities. You may cover for the cook and other schools when needed.

Welsh language ability is required and an Enhanced DBS check is necessary. Training will be provided where needed, with term-time hours from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support the cook with preparation of universal primary free school meals.
• Assist in day-to-day activities within the kitchen and ensure quality service.
