Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a secondary school in Dorchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to work within a busy school environment and become part of a supportive catering team.

The successful candidate will help with the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, supporting the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food

Qualifications

• Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Previous kitchen, catering or school experience is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch periods
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Helping with stock rotation and putting deliveries away
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Providing a friendly and professional service to students and staff
• Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties
