Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd in the UK is seeking a General Assistant to join our school catering team. You’ll support front and back of house operations, help with food preparation and serving meals to students and staff with a friendly, professional manner.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 11am–2pm, term-time only (38 weeks). You’ll work in a positive, family-run environment that values people, offers progression and free meals on duty while upholding strong food hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Experience in kitchens, school meals, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• General Assistant to support front of house and back of house operations.
• General Assistant to carry out general kitchen duties, including cleaning, preparing food and snacks.
• General Assistant to serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• General Assistant to follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
